Cereal Foods

Remains stable at standard baking temperatures. In some baked items, an increase in the amount of baking powder may be needed to ensure proper leavening.
  • Breakfast Cereals 
  • Breads
  • Biscuits
  • Cakes
  • Tortillas

Basic Foods
 
Use as a value-added ingredient to these basic foods; lower rates may be appropriate when fortifying staple foods.
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Rice (may be added by using grain or powder enrichment techniques)
  • Pasta
