Fire Damages Albion Facility

CLEARFIELD, Utah – July 26, 2016 – An fire swept through the Balchem facility located in Clearfield, Utah on July 25, 2016. The facility serves as the headquarters for Albion Minerals and is also a product granulation and blending facility where some of Albion’s human products are produced. Safety is always our primary concern and we are pleased to confirm that all employees that were on-site at the time of the fire were safely evacuated.

Unfortunately, the fire was extensive and both our offices and our manufacturing facility have suffered damages. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and we are cooperating with local authorities who are conducting a full investigation.

Electricity and communication systems were temporarily interrupted by the fire. We are working to rapidly restore these systems, and take the necessary actions to continue service to our valued customers.

Albion has the full support and resources of our parent company, Balchem Corporation. We are working together to resume normal operations as expeditiously as possible. The company has an established business continuity plan, and our team is taking immediate steps to ensure continued supply and service for all of our customers. We will be proactively reaching out to our customers to discuss future and existing requirements as we plan this transition.

Leveraging the capacity of our expanded manufacturing network, we are already re-assigning production as needed. Although we face some short-term challenges from this event, we are confident in our capacity and commitment to meet our customers’ needs.

The latest information, updates and a FAQ will be available in the coming days on the website. Customers with immediate needs are encouraged to reach out to their sales representative or the director of customer care, Justine Angelico, at 801-391-8892 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. We appreciate your continued support and patience. While this occurrence is certainly difficult, together we will rise above it and continue the Albion legacy of leadership and service. Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes.
